Description
The safety tunnel (SiSto) "Isla Bella" is being built for the tunnel of the same name along the A13 motorway. The project provides for the planning (construction and electromechanics) of a tunnel. Later, this is to be converted into a second, complete tube (road tunnel). Future infrastructure development will be given the greatest attention during the planning (for the detailed project phase). Due to the multidisciplinarity of the project, the future goals and the interface with an operating road infrastructure (tunnel "Isla Bella"), it was decided to exploit the advantages of the BIM method during the planning phase. The graphical 3D visualisation of the construction and electrical systems allows the early identification and elimination of potential construction conflicts, enables the development of the best planning solutions and facilitates the calculation of the required material quantities. The inclusion of metadata for installations allows for a smooth and automated creation of monitoring and maintenance programmes.
