- Description
The Gotthard Pass road has been designated a national road since 2008. With the closure of the Gotthard Road Tunnel (e.g. for the pending rehabilitation of the tunnel) it is potentially the main alternative route for traffic. Therefore, a timely and complete overhaul of the pass is very important. In addition to the actual route and drainage, the measures also include all structures, tunnel, galleries and non-motorised traffic. The historical relevance of the 3rd class national road should also be taken into consideration.
