Description

Comprehensive feasibility studies and alternative studies were used to evaluate the concept for the replacement of the municipal line II – DN 600 mm – crossing under the A6 motorway in the Ostring. Pipe-jacking with a DN 1000 mm concrete tube was executed over a length of 52 m. Despite difficult ground conditions, boulders, and imprecisely documented foundations of the noise protection wall, it was possible to successfully advance the tunnel.

The surface of the A6 motorway was monitored during works, so that in the event of any inaccuracies immediate action could have been taken.

The connections to the new flap shaft and integration into the existing ST DN 600 water pipeline were also established.

Works were carried out very close to the Paul Klee Centre and with space constraints.
