Owner’s Engineer in the phases global maintenance concept to implementation/commissioning
- Description
The A1 road in Zurich is one of Switzerland’s busiest national roads. The 10 km A1 section which was opened in 1970-74 will undergo complete repair and maintenance until 2018. In a second phase following project requirements and approvals by UVEK (Federal Department of Envi-ronment, Transport, Energy and Communications) Brüttisellen junction will be redesigned as well as approx. 5km of the hard shoulder and noise remediation will also be implemented. The maintenance planning consists of three junctions, all engineering structures, drainage, as well as full replacement of the safety and security installations (high level).
