Last Friday, we had the opportunity to go on an impressive group excursion to Ticino with almost 200 colleagues from all our locations in Switzerland. Our destination was the Alta Leventina with a visit to the Ritom hydroelectric power station, a fascinating place, not only for its impor-tance from an engineering point of view, but also for the magnificent landscape that surrounds it. IM Maggia Engineering, the lead company of the CRT consortium, has been entrusted with the overall design of the new power plant, which is scheduled to go into operation in 2026. The visit gave us an in-depth insight into renewable energy production and showed us how important innovation and technology are for a secure energy future.
In addition to the technical insights, team building was obviously a priority. The shared experiences and discussions away from the daily work routine strengthened our team spirit and opened up new perspectives. A hike around Lake Ritom and a trip through the Piottino Gorge starting at Dazio Grande were the ideal setting for this. The event ended with a dinner together in the Gotthard Arena in Ambrì. A big thank you to all participants for the organisation and the positive atmosphere, which made this special day an unforgettable experience.
