The new Luterbach station will be a modern and completely barrier-free railway facility. The core elements of the project are a new pedestrian underpass, adapted track systems with raised platforms and a newly designed northern station square with barrier-free bus stops. The aim is to improve accessibility and the quality of the passenger experience for all travellers in the long term.
Construction work began successfully on 26 January 2026. While initial demolition work is underway on the south side, excavation and installation work is already underway on the north side. The construction period will last around 18 months – a challenging infrastructure project that places high demands on coordination, safety and cooperation. We look forward to the implementation and a station for everyone.
