The tunnel boring machine will start driving on schedule today, 14 February 2025. At the launch ceremony in Göschenen, Federal Councillor Albert Rösti will send the 2,000 tonnes of steel on its almost two-year journey to Ticino.
The other speakers, Christian Arnold, Mayor of the Canton of Uri, and Peter Tresch, Mayor of Göschenen, recognized the achievements already made and those still to come in this challenging major project.
We, the Engineering Group, IUB Engineering AG (lead management), and IM Maggia Engineering SA (IG partner), the northern construction management, wish the Secondo Tubo consortium an accident-free and successful drive!
