A new integral bridge made of prestressed concrete is being built over the River Sihl to replace the Platzspitz weir in the centre of Zurich. The carriageway slab has now been successfully concreted. A total of 140 cubic metres were poured using the largest concrete pump in Switzerland. Once the concrete has set, the bridge will be prestressed in two stages.
